Section 20
The person who acts as the principal is considered to have committed an offence
: If any firm, company or organized organization commits any act which is considered as an offense under this Act, in the case of the firm, the shareholder of the firm existing at the time of doing such act and in the case of the company or organized organization, the person working as the principal of such company or organization shall be deemed to have committed such offence. But if it is proven that such work was done before the appointment of the person who works mainly or the decision to do such work was made without the consent of the person who works mainly, the person who has done such work will be considered guilty. Explanation: For the purpose of this clause, "Principal person" means the chairman, member of the board of directors, general manager, managing director or a person working in the same capacity of a company or an organized organization.
